Driver for Multimedia controller Elemuren Jan 30, 2013, 7:33 AM Hello, I have a problem with D610 after i installed window 7. What can i do to update my Multimedia Audio/Video controller. I hav a Hybrid ATSC/QAM PCI-E AVS Video Capture TV tuner card. I just did a clean install from Vista to Windows 7 and it won't install a driver for my multimedia video controller device. I'm pretty sure that is my tv tuner card. In short, a controller or controller card is the go-between for the motherboard (or system board) and the expansion cards for a system. In a desktop computer, this applies to video and sound cards; for a laptop, the controller communicates with the onboard multimedia devices.

Does the manual explicitly tell you ..
That this surveillance software is COMPATIBLE with whichever flavour of Windows you are running with.
When installing the software, it may well have installed drivers that are NOT compatible - that would account for the yellow exclamation marks.
As suggested, probably best to visit the manufacturer's site and procure drivers specifically for your Windows version (whatever that might be).

While the manual didn't explicitly say that Windows 7 wouldn't run it, it didn't say that 7 would either.
I uninstalled 7 and installed XP; the software works fine and the drivers installed along too. Thanks for the advice, it is very appreciated.
64-bit?
Windows-7 - is it the 64-bit version?
Check the manufacturer, but there may not be drivers for the 64-bit version, and 32-bit drivers may not work.
When hardware doesn't work, always check with the manufacturer first.

Onboard GeForce 6 Windows 7 64-bit - that's a GAP ..
I'd be wondering if onboard GeForce 6 had the capability for surveillance camera software let alone run Win 7 64-bit.

I haven't had time to work on it again. It's another person's computer. When I have tried out these suggestions I'll get back with you. I appreciate all the ideas; I really do, I just haven't had the chance to try them yet.

Here though I'm assuming that the Drivers that you need are for the Camera's and those should have come with either the Camera's or the Plug In Multimedia Capture Card if this came as a kit.

The UDI is great software. I tried this first and it led me to understand that I needed to install XP. The manufacturer hadn't released and update for 7 yet. So, I installed XP and everything works great now. Thanks. It's appreciated. I'll definitely use UDI in the future too.
