I found the writing style easy to understand and the concepts he demonstrated to be valuable. I will add that the larger clear print was especially easy to read after staring at computer monitors for as long as I do. The concept of discipline in following your rules regardless of emotion is brought about throughout the book. If you cannot follow your rules, then there is no point in having rules, which Shannon illustrates effectively.

As a whole, the chapters fit together nicely and reinforce each other, bringing the whole picture into focus. I was pleasantly surprised to find something very unique and vitally important in Shannon's book. Two chapters discuss short selling, along with short squeezes. It is very rare for an author of an entry-level retail trader-focused book to take the time and energy to describe and demonstrate the importance of short selling. Far too many retail traders have been conditioned to believe that short selling is 'wrong,' “evil” or even detrimental. Even if you never short sell, it is important to understand the concepts and the thought process that short sellers are using to avoid getting run over by a train.

The book begins and ends perfectly and right on point, highlighting the importance of risk management. A person with a desire to become a trader who gains nothing else from this book aside from a greater appreciation of capital protection and risk management will be handsomely rewarded for taking the time to read 'Technical Analysis Using Multiple Time Frames,' by Brian Shannon.
