I work in a newsroom. We work mostly on PCs using Adobe Premiere. We use clips from a lot of other agencies. We have used KeepVid for YouTube and Download Helper for many networks, but C-Span and other smaller sites use a preroll video or ad, and when you try to download from them, it downloads the ad rather than the video. Some sort of video capture program would work, as well, but we also have installs blocked on all computers, so I can't test it.
