TB16 Thunderbolt issues, unable to install ASMedia USB Host Controller in order to use eGPU

At this point I've exhausted all options. Been searching for 2 days trying to resolve my TB16 Firmware in order to use my Razer Core X eGPU. Now, I know the eGPU is not officially supported on the XPS 9560, but it does work nonetheless when looking around on the web.
Eitherway, the current issue I'm stuck at is basically that no matter what I do, I am unable to install the ASMedia USB Controller firmware in order to finish my firmware update. First off, I don't exactly understand why I would need it since I already have the Intel USB Controllers, but either way.. When trying to uninstall the Intel USB Controllers, they automatically reinstall. I have tried this while having the TB16 disconnected, and then viewed 'Hidden Devices' to uninstall the Intel USB 3.1 host controller, THEN install the ASmedia usb controller. I have also tried manually replacing the drivers but to no luck. I have also tried installing the 'Fernando' ASmedia USB drivers but found no luck there either.
In short, Asmedia IS installed on my device, but not showing up in Device manager, therefore, it seems I cannot update the firmware on my TB16 in order to use Thunderbolt. Everything else with the dock works fine. I have multiple USB peripherals, an external monitor and ethernet connected, all working with no issue. The only problem is my Razer Core X -> TB16 USB-C Port -> Dell XPS 15 not being recognized. The eGPU works fine when directly connecting it to the computer, but not through the TB16.
I have installed every driver imaginable on the Dell website for both the XPS 9560 and the TB16 dock.
